A CULTURE OF COFFEE

ABOUT

In its birthplace, coffee is not just an everyday caffeine fix, but an ancient cultural practice. A Culture of Coffee is a brief introduction to the history of coffee and the traditions tied to this major world export; from its origins in Ethiopia and deep national roots to its influence around the globe. By harnessing social media and the rare art of book-making, we explore the imprint of Ethiopian coffee across time and cultures.

THE  BOOK

A Culture of Coffee provides an artful taste of the Ethiopian coffee ceremony. This petite coffee table book explores the origins of our global coffee culture. To reach as wide an audience as possible, the book is available in multiple formats: PDF, soft cover, and limited edition hardback. This media rich production includes original research,  photographs and custom design.

THE BLOG

The purpose of the blog is to reignite the essential ingredient behind coffee-- conversation. Understanding the cross-cultural connection that coffee creates requires the kind of dialogue that social media encourages. As we investigate the provenance and traditions of "buna," we want to share our findings and discuss your personal experiences.
